The First Colony HOA Web Page Has Been Deleted

Creating this website received overwhelming support from owners at last year’s (2025) annual meeting. The Board also pledged to be transparent at the meeting.  Rick Dunham (HOA President) subsequently made the following promise in his "Message from the President ..." page that was once hosted on this website.

"The Board is making a stronger commitment than ever to transparency, ensuring that communication with owners is timely, open, and informative. This website is a key part of that effort, and we want to express special appreciation to Rob Williford (109 W. Hampton Dr.) for creating/maintaining it and helping bring this vision to life."

I created then continued to expand this website for months ... including HOA governing documents, meeting records, neighborhood news, grounds/landscaping updates, etc. Not hearing from the Board since last July I asked Rick if he could share any Board accomplishments/news that I could add to the website.  He replied that I was henceforth suspended from making further updates to the website until my dues are paid in full (see his Email).  For several years I have refused to pay more than the Master Deed's required assessment policy that is based upon sq. footage (larger homes pay more).  That document establishes the legally binding rules for the governance of our HOA.  Even the Board's own attorney confirmed the Board is violating the Master Deed's assessment policy.   

And so, I've received conflicting guidance from the Board regarding this website that was created as the HOA's primary method for communicating with owners..  On one hand, the Board made a commitment to timely, open, and informative communication with owners,  On the other hand, they've suspending me from making updates to this website.  It was time to "pull the plug."
